Hello. My name is Brent Klokis. I am an architecture grad from NJ School of Architecture, living in the NYC metro area. I have a strong interest in parametric design, and a belief that architecture is a tool helpful in determining variable spatial truths, as well as truths about the relationship between humans and the space that surrounds them. Just as natural form helps us understand and create built form, so too should the built increase our understanding of the natural. This says nothing about the specific geometry of the forms, and only that it is geometry itself that is the manifestation of the tool that architecture so closely approximates. Within the following pages are a collection of portfolio pieces that range from architectural design to graphic design to art, with some pieces arguably in-between. With each project I pursue I attempt to look for opportunities, not necessarily to design the project, but to design the framework and system that will in-turn produce the project. This method allows me to step outside of my own personal vision of what the project should be, and focus on a system constructed by the needs of the project itself.
